Letters to the Editor Thursday, 6 March, 2003 Sorry example As I write (in mid-February), the worst snowstorm in about 20 years is hitting Washington, D.C. CNN is giving excellent coverage regarding this weather. I heard also on CNN that the president is on the verge of annihilating as much of Iraq as possible, causing unthinkable human suffering on a country so weak and poor compared to the U.S. This great indefatigable leader actually cancelled a proposed trip to the Smithsonian to open a new exhibit and make a short speech. (The Smithsonian is roughly a mile from the White House.) He who proposes to lead us into a hellish war couldn't make a little trip to open an exhibit because of some snow! What an inspiration to our troops. At the peace rally on Saturday, I held up a sign which said, "If you will be in the frontline, George, so will I!" (I am a middle-aged female). I had no idea how apropos that sign turned out to be. Judith J. Clarke
