War Protests Held Locally

Local Protesters Demonstrate Against War (inactive)

Saturday's rain didn't keep 9 members of the South Texas Alliance for Peace from protesting against a possible war with Iraq.

The protestors stood outside the federal courthouse holding signs with messages like "War is not the answer".

"We are here together, standing for peace. We are here for our troops. We support our troops. We just don't want our troops to die," Milena Worsham said.

Worsham says the groups 200 plus other members went to Austin to take part in a large demonstration there.
